Mark Pritchard, has paid tribute to the sacrifices of the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry by visiting the Commonwealth War Graves cemetery at Wytschaete military ceremony, near Ypres in Belgium.
The MP was visiting joint British and Irish WW1 war graves as part of a historic delegation of British and Irish parliamentarians who form the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly, on which the Wrekin MP sits.
Mr Pritchard said:
“Freedom isn't free. WW1 saw huge losses and devastation. Let us hope the world will never witness such unimaginable horror again. It was an honour to pay my personal tribute to the sacrifices of the KSLI and other regiments on behalf of Shropshire constituents.”
