The Chevening Scholarship programme is a government funded international scholarship scheme which enables students with leadership qualities from 144 countries and territories to undertake postgraduate study or courses in universities in the United Kingdom. Many former Chevening Scholars have gone on to successful careers in politics, diplomacy and the arts, including as Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers of their respective countries.
