Mark Pritchard, has joined the students at Newport Girl’s School for a training session in which they learnt a number of emergency life support skills.
The British Heart Foundation’s Heartstart Schools Programme teaches the children emergency life support (ELS) skills such as, assessing an unconscious patient, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), dealing with choking, serious bleeding and helping someone that may be having a heart attack.
Mr Pritchard said: “I am delighted to have had the opportunity to join the students for this vital training session. The students were being taught some very important life saving skills and I hope that more students across country are able to have access to this excellent training programme”.
