Wrekin MP, Mark Pritchard, has launched a petition to ensure emergency services remain at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford – and is calling on all his constituents to get behind his campaign - and to sign it.
The MP, who in 2007 successfully presented a 29,000 people’s petition to Parliament calling for services at the Princess Royal Hospital to be protected, said:
“People can download my petition from my website. I will then present it to hospital bosses after the consultation. I hope people will rally behind my campaign to ensure Telford keeps its emergency service”.
The MP added:
“Record investment is being put into the Princess Royal Hospital, so lack of funds can be no longer used as an excuse by hospital bosses. They need to ensure they recruit the right people for the right job so emergency services continue to operate on both sites. The county is far too large for patients, young and old, to travel such long distances in ambulances”.
