Mark Pritchard, has been appointed to UK Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights.
The Joint Committee on Human Rights consists of twelve members, appointed from both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, to examine matters relating to human rights within the United Kingdom. The committee is chaired by former acting Labour Party leader, Harriet Harman MP.
Mark Pritchard MP said: “I am delighted the Prime Minister has appointed me to this very busy committee. Human Rights issues has been a key focus of mine since entering Parliament in 2005. I look forward to pre-examining the new British Bill of Rights committee and also fully contributing to the new Committee's Inquiry into the killing of UK citizens abroad through the use of armed drones”.
