He told us about recent happenings in Europe. He said that David Cameron has frozen the budget for 7 years and introduced an agenda for growth, a cut in regulation, and introduced a sunset clause. These are positive changes for good.
On the negative side he said that Europe is continuing to waste money, civil servants only pay 16% tax and waste a huge amount of allowances.
On the financial side 3 member states have now refused to sign off the accounts – but this needs to be unanimous.
The agricultural policy is due for review –France and Germany are still very inefficient and need to be made more productive.
